February & March 2008 Newsletter
Dear Friends and partners,
When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow ( Deut. 24:20). The LORD protects the strangers; He supports the fatherless and the widow, But He thwarts the way of the wicked
( Psalm 146:9)
We are grateful to each one of you that responded when we sent an email from Kenya about the situation throughout the country and the need at our orphanage. May the Lord continually show you kindness at the time of need. May He reward your great efforts and rescue you in the time of disaster. Those who are still planning to give, may the Lord bless you mightily as you respond to His awesome call. Our Lord has proved to be our source for provision, strength and encouragement.
You are aware that the post election violence has left many children traumatized for witnessing brutality, fighting and bloodshed that was funned by hostility and as a result many were abused, misplacement, separated forever from their parents and precious guardians. It will take great passion to heal and restore the Kenyan child. We have added more children as a result of this violence started the Amazing Grace International School for the vulnerable and children at risk, a Church Amazing Grace International Fellowship has been born and a counseling Center because of this heartlessness (some have been badly wounded, physically and emotionally).
We approach you and your friends now to continue supporting this great work through prayer and financial contribution as we prepare to purchase the 2 acres of land available near our children's home to build our own facility and cater for more needy children.
Your financial contributions will also help us;
· Pay our rent and utility bill
· Foodstuff (grains, maize meal, wheat flour, cooking oil, vegetables, fruits, etc)
· Furniture (desks, chairs, Beds , cabinets and tables)
· Clothes (uniforms, beddings and shoes)
· School supplies, Bibles and reading materials for K-7
· Salaries for 16 workers that have volunteered faithfully
· Building funds to complete and build
