David Macharia is another case of a child who lost her single mother to HIV/Aids. Following the death of his mother Macharia was left in the care of his aging grandfather who also past away last year.
Macharia was brought to the Centre in January 2009 by his Aunt who was taking care of him when his grandfather was hospitalized. He has 2 brothers who also require care and love. He is now in grade 3.
